Driven by a desire of registered voters and citizens of the southeastern portion of Inyo County to form a fire protection district for the purpose of providing fire protection services and other services related to the protection of lives and property, in August of 1993, the Southern Inyo Fire Protection District was formed under the conducting authority of the Inyo County Board of Supervisors.
The SIFPD has been providing first-response fire and emergency medical service throughout southeastern Inyo County ever since.
Southern Inyo Fire Protection District (the "District") is committed to ensuring that its services are accessible to all
